Preformed side ties are designed to fix the conductor in the side groove of the insulator. The preformed side ties can be installed vertically or horizontally, which can reduce the fatigue and wear of the conductor.
The preformed side ties produced by Paerpu are made of aluminum-clad steel for ACSR and homogeneous conductors with copper-clad steel for copper conductors and galvanized steel for direct application to insulated conductors, usually used for galvanized steel cable.
Compared with collet insulators or hand ties, side ties provide an improved conductor fixing method. Preformed side ties provide excellent wear protection for conductors under all types of sports, including low-frequency swing oscillation, high-frequency aeolian vibration, and gallop.
